Noble County & LaGrange County Promise

The Promise plants the seeds of hope early and starts the conversation about college and career well before high school. Youth begin dreaming about their future through age-appropriate activities in their classroom. Families establish college savings accounts to support their childrens' future aspirations.

The Promise creates opportunities for teachers to help students explore college and career pathways. Examples of college and career discovery activities include taking a virtual tour of a college campus, participating in a Q&A or pen pal activity with a current college student, and hearing from community members about their careers.

Youth also begin to identify the adults in their life, or champions, who can help them reach their future goals. Champions can make contributions to a child's college savings account and encourage that child to achieve his or her dreams.
