Group wellness classes

Tired of the same treadmill or workout routine? Spice it up and try a Group Fitness class! Every class is lead by a certified instructor and is a fun way to cross-train. All classes are for all fitness levels - adjustments are available for beginners and advanced participants alike. No need to sign up in advance; all classes are free for Y members and last approximately one hour unless otherwise noted.

We offer a variety of group wellness classes: Body tone up, indoor cycling, Body Combat, swimming, active older adults, strength training, yoga and more!

Stop in and talk with our Wellness Center staff about designing a workout program just for you.

Prices for Non-members:

One class per week: $25/ month
Two classes per week: $50/ mo.
Three classes per week: $75/ mo.

HIIT

HIIT is a High Intensity Interval Training Class. This class will target muscular strength, muscular endurance, and will enhance your agility.

TRX

TRX is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise. 

EnhanceFitness

EnhanceFitness is a proven senior fitness and arthritis management program that improves your endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility. It reduces your arthritis symptoms with safe, low impact exercises led by certified instructors in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes fun, laughter, friendship and smiles. EnhanceFitness has been recognized by the CDC and other national organizations committed to improving the health of older adults.

Body Shop

Challenging class that works the entire body in an integrated, dynamic, and functional manner. Many tools for training are used such as dumbbells, resistance bands, and stability balls. Bring your energy and enthusiasm and you will sculpt your muscles and build your core.

Body Tone Up

High and low impact aerobics using a variety of fitness equipment will improve cardiovascular health, burn calories, increase energy, and tone muscles. Routines choreographed to popular music also provide a mental challenge in a fun, friendly environment. Can be modified for most fitness levels.

Group Cycling

In this exciting class featuring the LeMond Revmaster Pro bike, expect to get an enjoyable, yet challenging workout. Experience a set of techniques that will inspire you and test your skills. Work at your own pace, and pedal your way to a healthier you!

Les Mills Body Combat

This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi, and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful instructors, strike punch, kick, and kata your way through calories to superior fitness!

Les Mills Body PUMP

BODY PUMP, the original LES MILLS barbell class, will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your entire body, fast! Focusing on low weight yields and high repetition movements, you will burn fat, gain strength, and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. The cutting edge BODY PUMP choreography, and chart-topping music is refreshed every three months, so with your choice of weight and highly trained instructors you can get the group effect and the results you have been looking for!

Piloxing

PILOXING cardio fusion incorporates cutting edge research and fitness techniques to burn maximum calories, build lean muscles, and increase stamina. The program uniquely blends power, speed, and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of pilates. These techniques are also supplemented by the use of weighted gloves, further toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health. Add to that exhilarating dance moves and you have a muscle-toning, fat-burning workout that will make you feel physically and mentally empowered!

Yoga

Progressive program in which each student works at his or her own pace. Yoga lowers fat, improves circulation, strength and flexibility, and the immune systems while relieving anxiety, back pain and arthritis.

Zumba

High energy movement to exotic rhythms of Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they are getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! It is easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among students.

Zumba Gold

Silver Sneakers - Muscular Strength/Range of Motion

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase Muscular Strength, Range of Motion, and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneaker ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver Sneakers - Cardio Circuit

Increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneaker ball is alternated with non-impact aerobics. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

Muscle Works

A total body strength training class that will firm your up from top to bottom. Good for all fitness levels.

Pilates

Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. The blend of strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up.
